The National Aquarium of Cuba opened its doors in 1960. Since then, this scientific centre has taken the greatest care of marine fauna and flora with the aim of educating and raising awareness among the general public. Discover an amazing variety of fish, sea lions and dolphins, all in a vast area where children can play educational games.
You can attend shows featuring marine mammals as well as exhibitions on underwater caves, the Mangrove Trail with its many species, and see the main aquatic landscapes of Cuba that are presented in six aquariums. Don't miss the tropical islands where you can see different specimens of turtles such as the Caguama, Carey or Green Tortoise, or Florida pelicans in a reconstitution of their natural habitat. Renovated in 2002, this is one of the most beautiful aquariums in the Caribbean.
