A 10-minute walk from the Kelvingrove Museum, The 78 is a haven for vegetarians. The decor looks like a welcoming country house with wooden tables paired with mismatched vintage chairs. On one side of the room, the open kitchen allows you to watch the chef at work. On the other, you can enjoy the fireplace that warms you on cold days. The setting creates a convivial and soothing atmosphere.
The restaurant menu is limited, but delicious and very affordable. Try the Classic 78 Burger, served with paprika coleslaw, or falafel wraps with hummus. The bar also offers a nice selection of beers.
On weekends, DJs take over to make you dance until late at night and Wednesday night is open mike night. The 78 is a popular Glasgow address, so make sure you reserve a table!
